I recently had a chance to test and try a GoMotion light set-up.  This light set-up is new and revolutionary, in that it positions a strong and durable LED light on your chest or waist instead of your head.  Interesting!

I tried the sternum 3-watt luxeon LED kit. This particular set-up allowed me to modify my favorite adventure racing packs. I tried this set-up while riding and running.

While running, this set-up allowed me to take weight OFF my head.  This is huge and very helpful!  Weight on my head after hours of running can be fatiguing.  Plus the position of the light on my chest allows a clearer and cleaner light scan of trail.  Also, it makes map reading much easier.

While on the bike, I realized that I still needed a light on my head. While riding my head moves in various directions and without a light on my head, I’m basically looking into the dark if I’m not looking in the direction of my chest or bar light. While riding the chest light is a luxury and not a necessity.

However, while running, the chest light is a necessity!

Go to http://gomotiongear.com to check out their chest light and other models. Their stuff is adventure racing ready and approved!!
